92 hatch lowered 1 5/8".. just an alinement or camber kit? opinion needed
I searched my situation and had no luck so...
I have a 92 dx, lowered it 16 months ago w/ tokico blues and cosmo racing (i know- gay) coil overs. Well I put those on and drove it hard a couple days to settle the springs and got it aligned. in July i replaced the 185/65/14 w/ 205/45/16. Drove it for a few months then put the 14" back on for winter.
the 16" started wearing on the insides, fronts worse than back. but the 14" are fine all the way around, and they have just as many, if not more Miles since lowering.
My ? is, is this because I has the car alined w/ the 14" rims? that is my only guess. Or maybe the springs settled more causing toe out? I doubt that, car isnt looking any lower.
I'm just trying to figure out if I can cure this w/ a fresh alinement, or if i need camber kit. Cause i dont want to aline, see i need a camber kit, and then aline again after installing it (waste of $60 for the 1st alinement!)
that cuts into my money
thanks!

I as well agree, you cant go wrong when it comes to aligning your car after lowering it, unless you want to buy tires every year, and go for it, put on the cambe kit makes a world of an difference,

With a drop under 2" you shouldn't need a camber kit. Your alignment is OK right now though since you have on the 14's right? But I think you are gonna notice wear on the insides and worse in the front no matter what unless you want to invest in that camber kit. I wouldn't worry about it...rotate your wheels when you need to and get than alignment in the spring when you put your 16's back on. That way you have money this winter.

maybe cuz the 16's are wider...its probably wearing around the ends...right?
it wasn't aligned with the wider tires, so get the camber kit and you will be straight.
