92 EG H22A jdm swap speedometor inaccuracy.
I performed a 2jz swap.. cough I mean a H22A swap into a 92 eg.
I have a 99 civic cluster -- yeah its a weird one but i like the looks of it, anywho the speedo is off 70 feels like 55 exct...
Is there any sort of easy fix for this? granted i wired the whole thing myself and going to redo it completly using CPC connectors, anyway should i stick with the oem tachless cluster and pick up gauge pod tach of sorts...
I am almost certain the speedo gets its signal from the vss directly without the ecu interfacing, as i cant find anything relating to speed to the ecu... actually i take that back there is a vss speed going to the ecu but nothing coming out of it going to the tach..
im up for hacks/fixes...
anyone have any ideas??

i have a h22a1 swap in my 92 hatch. I actually took my cluster out and disassembled it and took the Tach and water temp needles off and sprayed the backin pieces flat black so all i have is a speedo and gas gauge in the cluster, i added a 5" autometer tach as well as autometer oil prs, and water temp.
I did this becuase my tach read 3800-4400 vtec and cut off was at like 6500-6800 which was way off and i was sick of it... no real speedo problems though
H22 swapped civics are a pain in the *** i know just from owning mine not very long.

well thats too bad
although I am commenting on the speedometer is off, tach no issue.
As far as I know, the speedo gets a signal from the vss directly, and the ecu isnt involved in speed, however, the ecu still has an input for speed for the speed limiter.
is there a fix to this? so my speed will be accurate.
