So here is the deal. My buddy has a sedan dx with about 195 on the clock it burns, oil needs a clutch and it was rear ended and the insurence company told him to fix is worth more then the car so they totatled it out and he bought it back. ive been looking for a hatch or crx for a beater but hes giving me a cheap *** deal on it. its sitting on ls special edition wheels and gr2's with h&r springs. it also has a hid retrofit done to it and it could use a buff and some light bondo.

My main question is the rear bumper is missing and so is the support. the only thing left is the bracket on the frame rail are bent down. i was thinking bend the supports back using a torch and getting a bumper and support from a junkyard. but since he bought it back how much trobule will i have to go threw to get this thing registered and legit to drive again?

And as far as the motor and the clutch i have a 93 SI head here under at work under my bench and i can get a block and clutch relatively cheap. should i do this small minnie me swap or just drive it untill it dies, or fix it up and sell it? I am new to civics ive only had integras since i was 16 so i dont really now to much about them. Sorry this was long but i need good avice on wtf to do with this thing.

i'd do it. you dont need the bumper support though. it's just for less than 5mph collisons. the bumper mounts without it.

hell yea if i remmeber right 92's are prewired for vtec? another thing i found out was the trunk latch is fucked up and the light stays on with the trunk close lol o well , its my ned DD picking up around lunch today if it stops raing netime soon ill thorw up a few pics.

Now to do the minnie me i can use any 92-95 block and head with a ex timing belt right? Oh i also have a p28 to run it on. thanx guys

hell yea they do ive had integras mostly but im likeing this 4dr thing. my buddy has a 95dx so were gunna start are own little FL based 4dr mafia hers a pic of my new DD beast to be maybe.

EDIT - You said you have to go into inspection which in NYS is a PITA
Has to be 100% OEM with all new parts and be perfect to pass with reciepts for everything you fixed. I have only done this once and will never bother again

Im trying to convince myself if I like the looks of the 4 door. I found one I can buy when my insurance money gets in, but im just not sure if i like them. plus i really want a hatch.

dude what spoiler is that? and i was acutaly guna by those same wheels too! i love the dark grey color its wat attracted me to the car.

that's actually a stock ex spoiler. that's my friend scott's car, it's dark green and his paint is haggard, though you cant tell from the pics cause my friend corey's pretty much pro. I like his wheels too, but i like OEM wheels off of other cars better
