92 cx hatchback has rough idle
Ok guy's here's the deal, I have a 1992 cx that has a 98 GSR motor in it that is fully built N/A, a few months back I broke my wheel hub and it took me about 4 months to get the money together to get the car fixed because I am not currently working...
Anyways before this happened the car was running PERFECT and never gave me a single problem aside from the occasional lack of fuel pump priming because the filter sock fell off the pump so whenever I would get under a 1/4 full tank it would take a few tries to get the pump to get a prime, It would also lose prime if I took a corner to hard but that is not the issue I am having
The issue I am having now is that when I start the car it seems to idle VERY rough, Not to the point where the car feels like it is going to shake apart but enough to be noticed that the car has a horrible vibration, Now I checked the motor mounts and they are all perfect althought I dont see why they wouldnt be since before the car sat parked it ran and idled fine
Do you guys think that it is possible that since the car has sat for the last 4 months that the gas in the tank is possible the problem??
My next step is to fill the tank with high test gas as well as change the plugs and wires, I thought that maybe the timing had jumped but that just doesnt seem logical since nothing was taken apart on the motor
ANY help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Mike G
