92 cx hatch, cel wont come on at all HELP
ok i searched everywhere. I have a few problems. I haven't been able to get the cel to work since i got the car.
I swapped in a d16y7 that was in my 93 del sol. So everything ran good and has all the obd1 components. The engine has a hunting idle since the install, but only until the car reaches operating temp .
I drove the car around the block the other day and it shut off . I then smelled electrical burning, the capacitor in the ecu that handles the fuel pump melted out and fried the board. I swapped in a p28 in place of the burnt p06 just to get it running. I know it should throw a cel but nothing came on. i Used the helms manual on diagnosing a cel that wont come when you turn the key on. Everything tested within spec. I jumped the wire at the ecu to ground like it says and the light doesn't come on indicating that there is a break in the wire from the ecu to the cluster, but there is power at the wire on the cluster side of the wire.
im lost and i need help, its my only transportation at the moment, Im in N.E. PA scranton area will pay someone to help me.
