92 Civic Stearing problem
I would like to ask the forum about a steering problem on my 92 civic. At low speed recently the steering wheel suddenly jumped out of my hands and rapidly rotated to the right until it reached the stop. I recovered and stopped on the side of the road but it would jump again when i tried to return the wheel to the center. There was a sound of gear tooth’s grinding. The problem was intermittent for the very short distance to our home. After a couple of days without driving it the problem was unable to be reproduced? Has anyone had this problem. I know its a power steering problem but I am unsure if its a control issue or a mechanical one. Thanks for your time.

When was the last time you replaced your CV joints?
I had the same thing happen to me when I needed to change my CV joints.
