Default 92 civic si cluster issue

having troubles with my fuel/temp gauge on my 92 si civic... at first fuel gauge wasnt working then i took it apart messed with it to see if i could do anything and ended up not doing anything at all, put it all back together plugged it in to see if i might have got lucky to unplug then plug back in but now my temp gauge goes striaght up to H just at ignition.. anyone ever incounter this or know what is the cause?

i know it sounds odd but thats really how i feel too.. thanks for your help

Your problem propably lies in the senders, not the gauge itself.

As for fixing your "Straight up" issue on start... ,sounds like you did something screwy with your connections/gauge...

yea, its just the sender on the back of the gauge though and all i did was unscrew, look at it, then put it back on..

update, cel 43 came on the other day and i checked everything involved with it and am lost for words/ideas... what is the most common things people have incountered with fuel problems?

Wow. Maybe this is why nobody's responding to you. The guy was just trying to help, relax.

Buying a new cluster should be about 40-60 bucks, and you can literally spend as long as you want finding out what this problem might be. It can frustrate you to high hell. At the very least, try and find a working cluster that you can borrow and plug in to see if that's the problem.
