Default 92 civic is overheating only at 3000rpm or higher

I can drive the car perfectly fine around town, basically as long as the rpms are under 2500 or im going 55 mph it will never get hot. But once I take it on the freeway it starts to get hot after about 15 miles on the road. I flushed the radiator this morning, but the problem persists. I believe I'm having a flow problem, but everything I've tried thus far hasn't helped.

Any and all help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

bled correctly? radiator fan working? thermostat operating correctly? if all 3 check out, water pump would be next on my list.

Jack it up take the radiator cap off top off fluid. Let it run til it full warms up with your heater turn to hot Can take up to 30 minutes to get to operating temp. Make sure there isnt any air bubbles left. I always let the fans cycle on atleast 2 to 3 times.

Thanks guys, the problem started on a long trip, about 100 miles round trip, got there fine but started having problems on the way home. I flushed the radiator the other day, and we did bleed the system but it may not have been enough, I will be working on it more this afternoon, and i will update whats happened.

easy. let the car run for awhile, long enough to cycle the fan on twice. touch the upper radiator hose, should be hot. next, touch the lower radiator hose. if you notice a significant difference in temperature, the thermostat isn't opening.

its air in the coolant system- park on a curb, pull the radiator cap- (with heat setting to on) and let it idle 20-30 mins like stated above- It'll iron itself out--
