92 Civic LX D15B7,Worth tuning?
I got a Civic w 130,000 miles, is it worth tuning? If so where should I start?
Also if anyone can get me the Lb/hr on stock injectors.

id have to say that, if my attitude wasn't "do what you want to do ", milage isnt enough information to go on
hell im tuning a 1986 Si that has 150XXX miles on it, im having a blast!
you should go for it if it feels right to you, i know mine does

It's really up to you. It's your car, so do whatever makes you happy. However, before you start, make sure you have a plan for the car and a budget in mind. It's pointless to buy random parts that may not work well together.
The injectors are 240 cc/min or 22.86 lb/hr.

If you got $1000 per month to jerk around with, you shouldn't spend one single dollar on that motor. For less than $1000 you can get a complete sohc VTEC swap with trans, and with leftover monies get the other stuff you need to convert to manual trans.

Yes.

I would go to the H-T Marketplace or eBay. You can expect a p28 to cost in the low one hundreds.

Re: (ddd4114)
I was more along the lines of asking klungemonger Where i could get the $1000 Motor but that is very useful info, was gonna have to find it out sooner or later. I dont know all the ecu lingo ( p28's )and what not but could I do this with the stock ecu in a 1992 Honda Civic LX automatic 1.5?

p28 = ECU for a d16z6 (SOHC VTEC)
p06 = ECU for d15b7
You can chip and convert your existing ECU just as well. The p28 is slightly different (physically), but your p06 will work fine.

There are several engine importing sites, as well as Ebay, where you can get the JDM D15B VTEC (130hp) also with trans for around $650-750 plus shipping and it would come with ecu.
For US motors I don't know of any specific sites you just kind of have to hunt down people who have done B-series swaps and pick up their leftovers.

Re: (klungemonger)
Would that motor fit into the stock mounting without having to plasma torch the engine bay?if so what years would i want to go with to get the closest match.I was also told that converting to manual would add more weight cause the trans weighs more. Is it true and how hard of a prob would it be to fix?

it would fit right into the mounting with no problem. it's exactly like yours, except vtec. which means if you found one you could actually go with a short block instead of a long block. if you convert to a manual, well your swapping the engine, that would be pretty easy, i just went to a junkyard, found a good si tranny, and swapped it out.
