My car recently started having trouble making the shift from 1 to 2. It would just rev the **** out of the engine and take forever to shift as i am cruising at like 15-20 with people pissed behind me. Well it started taking longer and longer to finally shift and now i definitely need to get it looked at. I was hoping there would be some way that i will not have to replace my transmission. So could it possibly be anything else? Like maybe something electrical that tells the trans when to shift. Also what is an average estimate just to get the problem diagnosed at a shop?

Is the ATF low? When was it last replaced?

Any CEL codes?

sounds liek the trans is on its way out. mine used to do this between 2nd and 3rd it would take like 2-3 seconds to shift and when it would it would bang in gear unless i took my foot off the gas then it would shift.

The only CEL code i got was 43 which im assuming is not related to this issue
