92 Civic intermittent start

92 Civic intermittent start
To start off i have replaced fuel pump, main relay (twice), alternator, battery, plugs and wires, distributor cap... probably forgetting something. Anyways when the car isnt starting it will throw a bad ECU code. My question is are there any other sensors that will throw a bad ECU code or is there a chance its just bad?

Try the fuel filter maybe. But it sounds like a ground issue. If the engine throws a bad ECU code only when the problem is occuring, that's your answer.

Re: 92 Civic intermittent start
yea I went through the grounds and they look ok. fuel filter was replaced with the pump. and this mostly occurs in wet or humid weather. when it is wet or humid it takes about 15-20 min with the key in the on position before I hear the fuel pump kick in and the cel goes off..

Re: 92 Civic intermittent start
My car was intermittent no start and I replaced the rotor and cap and coil but one other thing was corrosion on the terminals of the coil in the dizzy. Check there as well. My car had the same symptoms minus setting a code. But I had to take a extension cord and blow dryer out to my car and blew on my dizzy for 90 secs to get it to start. Now all is good.
