Spleen

I'm new to Honda's and have the possible oppurtunity to own one. It's a '92 Civic 4 door, not sure what exact model. It has some small issues with the body but runs and drives good. My dad's freind bought the car back in September when gas prices were really high, had my dad put brakes on it, and left it over here ever since. I may be able to buy it for pretty cheap. I want to say it's an LX but i'm not positive, there might not even be a such thing as an LX but it's too freaking cold to go out and look right now. It is a 5 speed. I was just wondering what engine is in it, what are some good first mods, common problems these cars have, etc. Also any other resources would be good.
