I have the Fidanza installed in the H22-Civic. I should warn you though, the Fidanza flywheel was a "tight" fit to install. I had to pound it down with a decent sized rubber hammer to get it to sit flush on the crankshaft. At the time, I ordered 2 of them, 1 for the Civic and one for the Prelude, and both of them did not want to lay flat against the crankshaft.

I have not installed the Fidanza on the Prelude yet, so I don't know if this fitment issue is just only with the JDM H22. Also, you should be weary of the starter drive engaging the flywheel. Once in a long while, I'll crank the car and all that will happen is a loud "clank" from the starter drive trying to engage the ring gear on the flywheel. I believe there is a starter drive to flywheel ring gear mating issues.

ACT seems to come out with a new flywheel for the H22s. Good luck with whatever you buy.

The new rules also state that if you tell them to search you had damned well better post a link to something helpful.

And not a single one of those threads pertains to the H22. I saw quite a few for the B16 and even one for the y8, but not one single H22.

And that thread has nothing to do with this question either. All it asks about is what motor/car to get the flywheel for.

cbr, thanks for the info. i have a question though, does the loud clank sound eventually mess up the clutch or flywheel in any way or is it just an annoying sound im gonna have to get used to?
Usdmdc2: sorry for not doing a better archive search, but all i could find was for b-series motors not h, but oh well sorry about that.

I heard the Fidanza is so light, that you really have to shift fast - and I mean fast.

I have an ACT flywheel though, and no complaints

i have fidanza flywheel with act clutch. i love it.

no problems installing the fidanza flywheel either. not a "tight" fit for me.

just took my car to the track.
ran a 14.6 qtr. mile. i know im supose to be runnin better. you can really feel the power goin to the wheels now, but i think i need cv-joints and lsd (maybe a spool) to put the power to the floor and limit the tire slip a little more. any suggestions?
if my question isnt too specific ill tell u the specs of the car to better answer the question:
92 civic w. 98 civic clip.
jdm h22
act street clutch eavy duty pressure plate
fidanze flywheel
tanabe custom 2.25 exhaust magnaflow high flow and resonator
17'inch buddy club p2 on kumho's
crappy suspension (want to work on that this month)
hasport motormounts - i think thats the reason why the car shakes tons when taking off( daily or race) because i heard the mounts are really stiff.
thats about it.
let me know guys!
thanks
