92 Civic Hatch....All motor b18b or boost b18b?
i'm sure you guys have answered this before but i was just wondering. i'm getting a b18b1 swapped into my civic soon. I'm not looking for record breaking quarter miles or 500 horse power. I just want a very reliable dd that has some good power. I don't really have a set spending limit at all but i don't drop a huge bundle of money right away. I just wanna know your guys opinions.
thanks

turbo is a big commitment but if youre up for that than its the best bang for the buck.
OR if you want to stick to n/a than ls/vtec is an option
OR if you dont want to deal with either you can do a mild build on the LS and throw a b16 tranny in there. Wont be as fast as the other two options but it definitely is the lesser of a headache.

Re: (iVteC_PoWeR)
turbo gets my vote hands down, alot more satisfying in terms of power...this is considering you mean as your thread title is stated with an all motor b18b Vs. a FI b18b....in which case an all motor b18b (no vtec head) will probably get you into the territory of stock SOHC's with a bolt on turbo kit.

i don't mind being in the same territory as sohc turbo'd civics as long as mine is reliable. I drive about 30 miles to work and 30 miles back, mostly highway. But i need it to be reliable.

Re: (CivVtec)
if you don't mind it being in the same class as a stock turbo'd single cam.....then why not just turbo your single cam? with tuning it will be just as reliable as an all motor b18 or a turbo b18 for less $$$
d16z6+10 psi on a t25=200+whp/180+ft. lbs. trq. on 450cc DSM injectors
you can do it on the cheap if you piece it together, just keep in mind a good tune is the most important part to holding any car together regardless of it's induction orientation.
