92 Civic gauge cluster Tach swap problem
I received a manual EG cluster for my car today, so I could swap my old one out and prepare for the manual swap I'm doing. After swapping in the speedo from my old cluster, I went to reassemble and found that the female plug end for the GREEN clip on the back of the cluster is too small on the newer cluster
what is this cable for? Do I need it? what should I do to fix this problem, swap the tach and fuel/heat gauge in to my old cluster? will that solve my issues

The cluster that was in it, the green wire led to the A/T only one. and the cluster I'm trying to put in has another (D or E) slot that I don't have a wire for

You obviously don't need the A/T connector.
The D connector is for cruise control and shift-up (D15Z1/D15B8) indicators.
The E connector is for SRS.
