What do's it mean when you put the key in the ignition and the door open the car beeps. What is that beep , where do's it come from and what is it for?

Thanks all

And when i pull the back-up light fuse right above the wiper wash fuses the car dies. The beep dies!!! 2

Trying to figure out why his fuel pump is not working. It's no kind of troubleshooting technique I've ever heard of but whatever makes him feel like he's accomplishing something.
Hope he gets them all back in the right spots.

It the shotgun approach to returning the fuses.

Non of the fuses blow. or brake or short or anything so the harness can't be open/jumped/re-wired.

-Double check 15A hood fuse 31 and 15A dash fuse 24 (see Electrical section of FAQs sticky for fuse box diagrams).

-Check whether the ground wire attached to the thermostat housing is clean and tight.
