92 civic dx wont start

92 civic dx wont start
the car turns over and wont start, fuel pump works, fuel is going thru fuel rail, car is getting spark. what could it be?how do i fix it?

That happened to me too.
Did you check all your fuses kris543? Check grounds?

check the cap and rotor, plugs. it's possible that the distributor cap and rotor need to be replaced. if that's not the problem, check the firing order. if not, then it's possible that the timing jumped. one other thing it may also be is one of the components in the distributor itself might be bad.

car was wrecked and the car still ran. i got it from the junk yard as just a shell to put my motor into. the junk yard said t hey drove the car around and it was running fine. It was hit from the front. Still could be ECU?

i would check the things that i listed. the only time i fried an ecu was when i wired something wrong.

Sounds like a fuel issue then.
When I had a problem like this, with the car starting but dying immediately, my main relay and pump were fine, the fuel filter was new, but the injectors weren't firing correctly because of my ECU.

im not doubting ur right but it did the same on my old car b4 i was in an accident and the car was totaled. What are the odds of both ECU's being bad.

Pretty slim.
I'm not saying that it's the ECU for sure, but that's just what my problem was.

if i disconnect the fuel injector wires and test them with a tes light to see if i am getting any power i don't get anything.what could cause this?
