Default 92 civic dx with ls/vtec swap

ok so i have a 92 civic dx with a ls vtec b18b block and a gsr head at about 1500 rpms it seems like it studders it has pr3 cam gears it seems like timing is off but it looks dead on the pcv valve is capped off i dont kno if this will make a diff and also i have a dx so my map sensor is on the firewall should i be using the harness from the car or the engine harness??

any cel's? i think i had to use the car harness with the map sensor deal on my 92 because im thinking it was a tight fit. Timing could be off too though, or ignition coil

my friend has a lsVtec in his crx and it cut cut out during vtec and he advanced the timing a little on the dizzy and it seems to have solved it. it may not be the fix for you but im just shooting advice

Definitely use the firewall map harness. That is the wiring to the ecu.

you have to use the dx map sensor (which is on the firewall) technically your timing will never be PERFECT persay by using stock cam gears, but you should not be hesitating like that, adjustable cam gears will allow u to make it perfect, but i would say look into the pcv valve being capped and check the vaccums. good luck
