92 civic CX Tach Problems
Hey guys, so i have a 92 cx and refrenced this http://www.clubcivic.com/board...97738
Pin A8 appears to be the TACH wire, so i started the car measured voltage off of that pin and using ground as a ref point, reved the engine and it changed,
the question is i have a gauge cluster that when installed does not show tach, and its from a civic with a tach and from what ive read its a direct fit.
does anyone know how i can verify the tach on the cluster dosent work rather then assuming it dosent work?
anyone have any ideas?

Are you attempting to install a GSR cluster, or a Civic cluster with a tach? From this post it seems you're talking about a Civic cluster but from the link, a GSR.
If its a Civic...it should be directly plug and play as your stock harness is prewired for a tach.

Re: (I Shot 50 Cent)
Yeah it is a stock civic cluster,
I dont mean to be blunt but if you look further down they have wiring diagrams for the other civics, but it just has pinout info the tach wire to verify i am actually getting a tach signal which is a positive at this point. so it looks as if the tach part is DOA.

hey syndacate, just so you know the definition of "ricer" is someone who installs parts that have NO purpose besides style "whether it be good or bad", so a 600whp civic that has a HUGE wing on the back is still a RICED out civic, just a FAST riced out civic.

Ill conclude the tach is RIP.
Thanks for the help everyone.
