92 Civic CX HB with vtec swap
i am buying a 92 Civic CX HB with a vtec swap.i dont know anything about handas at all.all i know is the vtec has 170 hp at the flywheel and its a jdm SIR moter.
what kind of 1/4 mile times should i epect to run with this car?and what can i do to make it faster?
my roommate has an 88 crx hf witht the same moter and a light weight flywheel that runs 14.3 in the 1/4,how can i beat him?

Re: (Winlight)
theres alot you can do....if you gonna port & polish your head and add some aggresive cams like some skunk 2, i suggest you upgrade your valvetrain as well so it can resist the high revs and your cams...it'll take you towards an All Motor (NA -Natural Aspirated) setup....depending on how far you take it, it can get pretty expensive....a turbo (FI - Forced Induction) would be chill and CAN be cheaper too but can only run a certain amount of boost on stock block....if you go turbo, you might want to sleeve the block so it can resist more punishment....you can do so much to a honda motor....try reading the Force Induction and the All Motor forum to learn more about each path
