92 civic cx hatch for $1,000??????
I got one tonight, engine and trans is already out! not sure what is going back in. maybe my 2000 si engine, 97 interga Ls engine...or maybe just a single cam 1.6. This is my new everyday car so i don't need to dump a bunch of money in it at this time. gotta get the si done.
This post may seam dumb but I'm pretty happy about this car. Plus i'm tired and am doing weird stuff. time for bed i think.

timing belt is broke, two intake valves are bent, car was run 12,000 no oil change and when i got it no oil in it at all, truned over tho. So no need to fix and engine that was abused like that.

Exactly. I have a friggin JDM ITR motor in a car that I only daily drive. It's such a waste of money.
If you want a little pep, just get a sohc vtec swap. That's all you really need.

Re: 92 civic cx hatch for $1,000?????? (TheRedSkoolingBus)
ok let me clear this up....The engine going in is out of a del sol, the 1.6l sohc vtec. The swap is costing me $400 for engine and tranny. So I will have $1,400 into the hatch. I would have prolly close to $300 fixing the 1.5. So IMO the extra $100 isnt going to kill me. Other than the *** motor that was in the car, it is nice, all kinds of new parts. 121,000 miles, i belive it to be a good find, yes

I had a complete LS engine I got for $300, but i sold all the stuff cuz i was going to build the block for in my si, well now I just got a new block for the si so i have the ls block and crank, thats it., no tranny for that set up either.
