92 civic crank pulley
So I'm taking apart my 92 DX, has a D15B7 under the hood. Following the chilton's manual to tear it down, and we came into a problem wit the crank bolt/pulley. I know it's supposed to be torqued down to 134 ft-lbs, but we can't seem to break it loose.
I'm just wondering if you guys have any ideas. We've sprayed liquid wrench in there trying to break it free but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas as to how to get this loose, plz let me know.
Thanks,
--Brett

Re: 92 civic crank pulley
there was a thread about this not too long ago. a guy had the same problem. but it seems to have slipped into the dark forests of h-t. i think what he wound up doing was using the breaker bar and cheater pipe like 98civdx said. i think you may have to take driver side wheel off and go at it through the fender well. i dont really remember.
