Default 92 Civic Cluster Speedo Question

I have a 92 civic with a B16 in it. A month ago I was driving to work and my Speedo was cutting out. It would resister under acceleration, but when I let off the gas it went to zero. Then when I went home from work it worked fine. The car was stilling for a few days and when I took it to drive again it doesn't resister anything for speed. All other functions work in the cluster but Speed.

SOME HELP!?

Point me in a direction to check something...

If its throwing a CEL then the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is probably bad, its located on the back of the transmission, make sure its plugged in and all the wires are connected to the plug. If the plug and all the wires seem to be in good working order then more than likely its the speed sensor that needs to be replaced... shitty thing is if the speedometer isnt working then no vtec either..

Yup Yup No vtec either. I found something that said I can test the resistance on the wires to see if that is the problem... But I am leaning towards that is the issue at hand. Thanks for the info guys!

Anyone know the best place to get one... My guess is these aren't cheap. Buying used ok? Also, will only a b16 one work or how do I know what type will work with my engine / tranny. I have a b16 with a hydro tranny...
