Default 92 civic B18b Hybrid swap

I am buying a b18b for my civic hb dx 92. I am about to start ordering things, and to make this hassle and little easier, i want to make sure that i am ordering the right parts. So far i know i need a new ecu for the new motor (i dont know what it is though) P??. if anyone could post a link or be a nice guy and put a answer for that one it be nice. Also i know i need engine mounts, axles, shift linkage, and supposedly throttle cable. All out of a 94+ integra. This is where i need to make sure. From the parts i mentioned, is that the correct year(s) i need to get them out of. the motor is a 94+ integra. Im going with a b16 tranny. So if that makes a differents i really need to know. And for wiring it up, can i just use the wiring harness on the engine? will it just plug into my harness on the strut tower. If there is anything i might be missing, for wiring or anything else that i be over looking please post that. For those of you that are just going to flame and say SEARCH, i have, i am currently, and dont post anything here if your not going to help. I have used the search feature alot about this question, i mostly come up with b18c1 and 18c5. i will keep on searching after this post and maybe we can make this a good link for someone looking to do this swap. I plan on taking lots of pictures and making a awsome "HOW TO" on here. so thanks before hand.

Just bought motor.

U need p74 or 75 OBD1 ecu. You can use your existing wiring harness. You need 94+ integra axles, int shaft, and driver side motor mount. If you want to retain your factory a/c you need del sol VTEC b16 model ac bracket (expensive), OBD1 b series dizzy, alt, and 94+ power steering pump. You also need b-series shift linkage. as far as throttle cable I used my stock d-16 eg throttle cable and just modified the bracket a little or you can do it the right way and get integra throttle cable either works though. B16 tranny is really short you'll get shitty gas mileage but it'll definitely be pretty quick in a hatch. I'd go with a gsr if you haven't already bought the tranny.

You should just get a complete swap, saves alot of hassle. And dont worry about harness because you could use your own. Just make sure all the sensors and such comes with there correct plugs.

the motor that i am getting from a friend of mine, has the wiring harness still on the motor. will the connections hook up to mine is the civic? And as for the motor mounts i can use all the civic except the drivers side motor mount? as for everything else like the computer will plug right in, and the coolant lines will hook up to the radiator? these are things i want to plan for so i can buy a majority of the parts so it right in!

P72 is a GSR ecu, so yes it could be used on a GSR.

a p28 has to be programed to run on a GSR. That is a SOHC ecu.

Sounds like you know what parts you need and where to get them from. The wiring harness from the b18b will work with the ecu you're getting, no modifications will be needed. just plug all the plugs to the ones in the engine bay together and the plugs for the ecu (that were from your stock ecu originally) will plug right into the new ECU. No adding wires or anything, if you were doing a vtec b-series or LS/vtec then you'd have to run lines for vtec and stuff; but your motor will be non-vtec so there's no wires to add. Also you I believe (not positive though) that you'll need new radiator hoses, with the stock radiator end being smaller than the end on the motor; just something you might want to look at before you throw the motor in.

holy fucken ****. Man did you even see all that dirt inside the engine? This sucks. I don't even know how you would try to clean this up. Wipe everything off that you can with a wet towel. Then dump like 10 quarts of oil thru all the passages and try to prelube the motor some how (have no idea how to do it on the honda without spinning the crank). And pray to god that non of that dirt gets on your bearings, this **** is a #1 cause of spun bearings.

you will also need injectors any obdI 240cc injectors (could be obdII but you need to use obdII plugs). you also need alternator pulley.

Use stock wiring harness either from this motor or your original motor, whichever you like better, for ecu either chipped (too much money) or p74/75.

New dizzy cap, and any b series tranny preferably not the one that comes with this motor (long *** gears).

you ask how will i clean out my motor? well i am actually ripping it all down. i am putting new rear main seel, and head gasket, valve cover in, and oil pan in. yes i am going to run like 5 quarts through it in the end. right now, after i took the pic, i dumped 2 quarts over the head, into the cylinderes and stuff. they are soaking, tomarrow i am going to rip the head off clean the living **** out of the head, then reasemble. then doing the oil pan gasket, cleaning the the gunk out of there. then reasembling. the rear seal i will do also. when i am done ill put some more pic on.

I have two more questions though, i highly dout it but will my dist. work out of a 92 civic? also will the crank for the alt. work from my 92 civic. (d15)

u need an integra ls ecu doesnt matter which one. i think its a p75.. i have one not sure i will look at it and tell u though. u dont need engine mounts u can use the stock ones but i do suggest changing the drivers side engine mount really soon becuz they break real easy with the torque.. buy one get the rest later. axles u need shift linkage may work from the civic not positive though but the throttle cable is a must just get one from acura dealer ship and it wont cost too much they may have to order it expect to pay about 30 bucks .. that is the correct year yes. if u have a b16 tranny then it shouldnt matter dont use the LS harness please it will not work correct use ur stock dx harness and ya stock car harness and just plug it all into the engine the car will run cherry then. fa shore i tried the ls harness on my cx car harness and my car sounded like a broken go cart for like 6 hours till i figured out what was wrong. but good luck anyways. like i said save ur money on the mounts just buy that one on the engine side becuz that one always breaks to hell. let me no how it runs with that tranny too. i just coped a jdm b18b for 200 bucks 2 days ago only problem is the tranny is cable so im going to sell the tranny and buy me a new bell housing for my old b18b1 holla back .

ps i have an extra ecu im sure i do i will search for it and see if i have it.
