92 civc hb gsr....need help
Hey im new to honda-tech. well i just baught a 92 gsr hatch for $1200 and i have a problem. basically the guy who did the swap couldnt find out where to plug in the power wire to the vtec solenoid, so he hooked it up to a switch. its a 95 gsr swap with a p28 ecu. im trying to figure out how to wire it back up the way its supposed to. so vtec pops right off of the ecu. cuz im getting tired of having to flip a switch for vtec. i searched around and the only thing i could find close to my problem is a guy wanting to be able to control his vtec by a switch. so if i could get some insight i would appreciate it very much.

no i need to know where to plug it in to the ecu or which wire to connect it to on the harness. cuz the wire from the solenoid is ran to a switch. so if i want to pop vtec i got to hit the switch.

since your hatch is a 92, it should be prewired for vtec. granted the cabin harness is factory.
all you have to do is wire the solenoid to the shock tower like in the pictures posted above.

so i was looking at my vtec solenoid and theres one wire running out of it and its green with a white stripe. and there 3 wires that run to my solenoid but it looks like they were cut. ones the green with the white. one is green with black, and the other one is all black. the wire to my switch was connected to the green and white that came off my solenoid.. so r those other wires supposed to be ran to something. cuz i connected the green and white back togather and nothing. idk if im making any sense to u guys.

go to the junk yard an try an find the same connection. if you find one there it'll save you some time from hard wiring. good luck
