92-95 JDM EG6 Folding Mirrors, Folding when turning On/OFF car
OK ive searched this topic to death and read about people trying to install these things that have no idea about wireing, I Just want to know if it is possible to hook these mirrors up to the ignition to fold in when the car shuts off and fold out when i turn the car back on (to acc power). Also will i need to add another relay including the stock one. If anyone knows please let me know otherwise im gonna end up figuring it out the hard way. Oh and the JDm switch, is it based on a reverse polarity to fold the mirrors back out? Anyone with electronic knowledge please contact me. thanx

have seen that site and other ones, i dont believe it has a how to, on making them fold in /out via the ignition switch.

i hope you know the power folding mirrors are hooked up to 2 things on an EG6.
1. To a switch next to the steering wheel
2. to your e-brake (mirrors fold in when e-brake is pulled up

Im not interested in what they are supose to be hooked up to I just want to know how to hook them up to the ignition, and yes i know about the ebrake and the switch thanx, i am planning on using the switch as well.

you could hook it up to the cig. lighter plug, because i know that is only active when u switch the ignition on so it would come on when u hit acc.

Yea i was thinking of hooking it up to something similar to that, but my question is do i need to add another relay cause im not sure if the stock relay just needs a pulse signal or a steady signal to make the mirrors fold in and out

it's possible for the mirrors to fold when turnin the car on and off. My homeboy wired up so that when he hits his alarm they fold open and closed. keep searchin' bro...u'll find it! good luck!

Did he use other relays or did he just use the wires from the alarm module and wire them into the existing relay?

i gave up trying to do that.. i toasted a control box playing with it and another 20 bucks or so for another one isnt for me..

if you have an alarm you can install it on the option feature of your alarm so that when you arm the alarm they will fold in.

Use a 5 dollar relay switch from radio shack and wire your power from one of the top five locations in the fuse box. You'll have to check them individually, since I do not remember which one is ign related. They are mixed though, ignition/interior lights etc...
