Does your car make a weird noise like grinding in idle with the pedel out? Then your throw out bearing is going bad. You have to take off the tranny to get to it. Whiel your at it might as well get a new clutch.

Re: 92-95 Honda civic Throw out Bearing ??? 5 speed (Luserkid)
It makes a whining noise when i'm going through 1st and 2nd gear. It seems that if i push in the clutch the noise goes away until i let off again. Also my 3rd gear grinds whenever i'm shifting from 2nd to 3rd at rpm's otherwise it will go in fine. I think thats probably a bad 3rd gear syncro. Will a new clutch replace the syncros and the problem i'm having?? Also whats a ball park price?

I dont think its the throw out bearing ...its the mainshaft bearing the tranny. i have the same problem with my ls tranny and ive been told its the mainshaft bearing in tranny.that needs to be replaced. And a new clutch doesnt replace the syncros. syncros are in the tranny.

Sounds to me like your mainshaft bearing, also your syncro's are going bad, It may be cheaper for you to look for anther trans.
