92-95 Hatch's-Anyone else's rear window rattles?
My 92 civic snatchback has some rattling with the rear window if I go over a large bump....sure the spring rate is what I might refer to as excessive. There is little play with the window and the tailgate but I adjusted the latch as tight as it would go.
Anyone have similar characteristics with theres?

Yeah, mine rattles to. You aren't the only one. I usually use spray silicon on the weather seals when I wash it (takes care of some squeeking), but the majority of the rattles I think comes from the stays that assist in opening the glass. I think with time and use the attachment points (at the glass and up top) get a little worn. Just my thoughts.

My windows rattle too. Driver and passenger side though. Damn I thought I was the only one with this shitty problem.

I actually traced my rattle down to it being the rear "wing". I fixed it by taking a dentene ice box and folding it up, then slipping under the wing at the brake light. About an 1/8th of an inch is visible, but it keeps the wing from rattling.

Mine rattles when I hit bumps...usually larger bumps. But it does rattle. I haven't ever looked at it or try to fix it though..

I think they all rattle a bit. My old DX with the wiper assembly rattled, so does my current CX without the wiper assembly. It isn't a big deal, you should get used to it after a while. Not like you are driving an air-tight lexus or something. Just rev the ******, or turn up the stereo.

You sure its the hatch rattling? I thought my hatch was rattling until I looked behind my car while it was running...damn muffler was tapping the bottom of my bumper! So I got longer rubber pieces that hold the muffler(sorry can't think of the proper name).

After not driving mine for a while the squeaks I got used to before are kind of annoying me, my cargo cover squeaks along with other things. Car screams though.

Spoon Man has it correct. Check the point at which the shock attaches to the window. If the shock has loosened (stripped probably) from the attachment piece that runs throught the window, the shock will rest on the interior trim, and rattle. This might solve the problem!
