Finally Got my 94 Coupe - Body Damage Help
hola,
i just purchased a 94 teal ex w/ 39k miles...it has some fender damage and hood damage...does anyone know where i can get prepainted fenders or hoods? Or does anyone have a teal hood or passenger side quarter panel in teal for sale? i need the fender more than the hood, cuz the hood just has minor hail, and is faded....are CF hoods cheaper than Stock Replacements?

CF hoods are not gonna be cheaper than stock replacements... i was in the same situation as you. fender and hood damage, 93 civic...
i ordered aftermarket replacements from a scrapyard... they were primed black, the guy painted em for me. hood and fender came to a total of $150. painting was $175. I gave him my gas cover to match the paint (red). i was a little disappointed in the matching and finish... I can tell the difference, but most people can't.
it seems like the aftermarket parts might be made of slightly thinner sheet metal than the genuine honda ones, but i don't think it's a big deal. They fitted fine, but replacing the rubber seal on the hood is a PITA, because when you take it off the old hood, all the plastic rivets get destroyed... there's 13 of them and the honda dealer wants $1.95 each... i can't find the rivets anywhere else.
you definitely don't want prepainted body parts becasue the paint won't match... if you try to find replacement used parts, they paint'll be in bad shape because it's the front end... it'll prolly be chipped to hell... the junkyard i went to had one red hood for me, it was straight, but the paint was terrible.
I got my stuff from Accord Auto Salvage in Riverside, CA btw...
