Default 92-95 Civic Sunroof

Are the sunroofs on the Eg Coupes the same as the ones found on the Eg Sedans? Is there a write up on here somewhere that shows how to replace the sunroof. I might be buying a sedan that has a damaged sunroof. Any positive input is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

Is there a detailed write up on H-T on how to properly remove and install a sunroof and maybe even the sunroof motor?

I dont think they are the same, for one reason the civic coupe eg sunroof when you open it back it opens outside the car and the civic sedan eg opens into the head liner

Have you tried looking into the DC sunroofs?

Take the head liner off, there's like 4 10 or 12mm bolts holding the sunroof on

Name says it all, got a 95 Lx and sunroof clicks heavy when trying to open. Looking for replacement cables or more information. 🥴🙏

^ LX has no sunroof. Check if it's aftermarket.

Also, sedan and coupe/hatch sunroofs are different.

Normal, no. But it did happen that some people wanted a leaky hole in their roof! (Do not recommend.)
If it's giving you trouble, clean it then grease it up first!

The hatch and coupe use the same size glass, however their frames are different and use a different motor. The sedan is smaller over all and opens differently if I remember correctly.

I just rebuilt my EG SI Sunroof....it's not the worst thing in the world but does take some adjustments to get it just right.

Well, mine just came off "track" so I dropped the entire sunroof frame and disassembled it. Cleaned it. Lubricated the **** out of it. Reassembled and realigned.

There are no parts for these anymore. In fact, I have two broken stop clips (these are the zig zag looking clips in the front of the rails. I ended up reusing the clips, but used some small pieces of metal to serve as the clip stops. I was thinking of trying to find a clip that was in good condition and 3D scan/print some new ones.

The only thing I will tell you, is go VERY slow taking it apart. Take pictures of everything. Grease everything. Follow the FSM on realignment procedure.
