well of course it does, the tranny plays a major part in it.
looks like your best bet is to find one online and have it shipped.

i beleive thats when you buy the engine also..

because if it wasnt then everyone and their moms would be getting trannys from them. i always see the ex/si tranny's on here and ebay going for $200-$300

I heard not so good things about them..?? Maybe it was just some idiot ordered wrong part or some ****, but also my other concern is EBAY.. I can paint my car gold an throw some Type R stickers on, take a picture, put it in edit mode an flip it 360 degrees an sell my lil usdm dx coupe, as RHD JDM CTR ya kno what im sayin... Bad description but im just trying to make a point lol... I know they have Paypal and stuff like that, but is that kinda thing still secure...?

HAHA I did the same thing i got rid of my dx tranny and installed a 95 si tranny and my car runs way better. Other than that there should be many ex trannys out there. I hard to tell a si, ex or a dx tranny from just looking at it because they don't have any code that distinguishes them. The only way to know is throwing it on your car and running it.

misinformation.

They're common. Look in the classifieds, online websites, ebay. etc.

Talk to Johnny Morris. Tell him Tom Rummage sent you he'll treat you right.

BTW yes the hydro SI transmissions are getting more difficult to come by!

I'd suggest that you come down here to the ft.lauderdale/miami area...u'd find that tranny for like 100 bucks....and u'd get a whole sohc vtec swap for 2-300 bucks...Also I'd broaden u'r search to a 92-2000 sohc vtec tranny...u'll have better luck.

H-T CLASSIFIEDSThats where I got mine , of course your your location might be a factor ,DFW has tons of these, just make shure and put a new input shaft bearing in there before bolting it up. Its no fun putting a tranny on twice in one day ...

Take a loot at Mista's tranny page (linked above).

5th gear is a tiny bit taller on the EX than the Si (92-95), otherwise they are exactly the same.

I dont get why the si ex tranny is so much better i mean i know that the gears are different but besides that... its all good right? dx is just as compatable as a ex/si tranny

the ex/si tranny has better gear ratios than a dx.. its all about better acceleration.
