92-95 civic Si question

Guys help me out here. Not a very technical question at all, and hopefully only pertains to the 92-95 si's.

Im replacing my door speakers today with some new memphis 6 1/2's that I picked up. Another friend of mine has a 92 si as well and said that in the rear panels, the wiring is already ran, you just have to switch out the panels from a cx or something like that (that has the speaker brackets in them)

Soooo I go to pull the panel out, and there is fucking nothing there. I cant find any wiring anywhere for speakers. Is it supposed to be like this?

I didnt want to have to run wire from the headunit back, but if I have to, I will.

the wires should be around there somewhere cause they have the same wiring just different panels. they might be tucked somewhere or not ran as far or something but they should be ran. When i bought my 92 Si the guy before me already put aftermarket speakers in the back and they have factory clips on them. good luck

they might be down by the floor, like almost tucked under the carpet

I just put in rear speakers in my hatch. The wires are on the bottom. Check around where the wheelwell starts. The wires are coiled up and tied with tape. I couldn't find them at first either. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
