I would say faulty dimmer switch.

I third the dimmer switch control cuz I had the same exact problem! Pull out the control from the dash when the light doesn't turn out the jiggle it,wiggle it around and it "might" come back on. On mine, it was a faulty 3-prong connector that connects to the 3-pin connector from the factory wiring.

Good luck

pull the dimmer switch out of the dash. (very easy to do)
unplug the 3-pin plug that's connected to the dimmer.
take a paperclip or something to insert into the back of the plug and short the black wire to the red wire.
turn on the parklamps (position I)

If the dash lights turn on try plugging the plug back into the dimmer. (checking for bad connection)
If the lights remain off then replace the dimmer.
If not then you have a wiring issue or the bulbs need replacing.
