Not really sure what the block code is, didn't have a time to look.

I have a 99 hatch with a blown motor. Took the heat shield off and there's a 2 by 4 inch hole in front of the block. Inside you can see a huge chunk of the crank has been eaten off. I also have a 92-95 civic EX block which i picked up for free.

Will the 92-95 Ex block fit work with the 99 civic head? (Most likely will is what I'm thinking)
If it does fit, is there any extra work that I need to do to get this puppy running? Will I need extra parts, extra labor, extra wiring for the block etc..?

Please don't give answers like "it should" or "I think so." I want definite answers from the Honda guys who are 110% sure. Please enrich me with your Honda Knowledge.

if its a d16 block with a d16 head everything fits.engine blocks are the same $hit.

aww come on! It "should" work? I'm pretty sure there's someone who has experience with this combo. d16 + d16 is a yes. What about other stuff like hoses and wiring? Does anyone know if there's any extra work?
