Re: 92-95 Civic dash swap (Black 2K)
Yeah Black2K, the reason the glove box didn't fit is because the airbag version has shallow shape to it, that widens to the right side, while the non-airbag version is cut straight across. Opi's new interior didn't include the glove box, so I had to take apart the assembly on the back of the box, and rig it to fit, doesn't look quite right, and it's a bitch to open/close, so a non-airbag glove box was located

Great job!
I don't understand Honda's interior coloring... to this day...even the new cars, they won't let you pick say black interior on a white car sometimes.

looks good. did you guys replace the blue carpet with black carpet as well?
i'm planning to do the same thing when i get the funds to do so. but, not many people i have seen have blue vinyl seats and vinyl door panels like me. i like blue but, black is a little better.
btw, do you have pics of the wiring job for the EX power windows and locks?

Yeah, the carpet was switched to black as well, to complete everything. Don't have any pics of the wiring for the EX set up, a friend of Opi's wired up his and mine, looks exactly like factory, everything is in it's correct position, he didn't cut any corners. I know couldn't have done it myself.

I thought about that with the extra one that was left over, but it's a bitch to get off of the dash once installed in the car, as the bolts are on the backside.

Yeah, it was a huge improvement. Rare to see a white CX with all black interior. He also got rid of the Integra seats, and picked up a set of red ITR Recaro's

How mutch did the door panles and dash cost you, you got them from a junkyard??? i have brown the worst color and ive been meaning to get rid of it, just dont know where to start, and was the power windows and locks a nice chang over? not worried about theft with the new power windows? and one more, are there any other dash options for eg's like gsr dash or 99-00 si/ex dash.
or would that just be to complicated..

[QUOTE=Jstue]How mutch did the door panles and dash cost you, you got them from a junkyard??? The guy that installed the conversion for us, purchased 3 complete sets from a local junkyard, I believe they were 150 each, and if I remember correctly, he got a discount for buying 3 at the same time i have brown the worst color and ive been meaning to get rid of it, just dont know where to start, and was the power windows and locks a nice chang over? Excellent change over, works like factory, very convenient, and didn't add very much weight at all. not worried about theft with the new power windows? No more than manual windows, if they really want it, they'll get it. and one more, are there any other dash options for eg's like gsr dash or 99-00 si/ex dash.
or would that just be to complicated. Many people opt for the 94 up Integra dash, as it will fit. Never seen a 99-00 conversion, not sure if that's possible. From what I've read, the Integra dash swap isn't too complicated, just time consuming.

Re: 92-95 Civic dash swap (rodrez)
hehe.. I have done a few dash swaps too. My Charcoal Grey (dx) hatch came with a grey dash a long with all grey interior. I swapped all the moldings and carpet w/ black Si's, I installed GSR front seats w/ Black GSR dash and armrest. then i swapped the dash out with the stock grey one, then i went ahead and put the Black Si dash w/ JDM arm rest... Can't make my mind up Its easy as hell and takes me about an hour to do it completly and taht is with me being a slacker too..
Your dash looks 100% better Good Work

Re: 92-95 Civic dash swap (rodrez)
I would love to know some info on swapping over the power locks. I ask because I have been looking into adding OEM honda power locks to my 92 and its hard to find what Ill need. Im not interested in power windows only locks. Do you have any pics of doing this? Was it hard to get the OEM locks into your doors?

He copied the EX doors exactly, using the factory rubber and plastic harness covers, and ran all the wires through the same hole, looking at it up close, you couldn't tell that it wasn't done at the factory on his car, and mine as well.

Re: 92-95 Civic dash swap (rodrez)
I need to take the air box out, the air conditioning box unit behind the glove box. Will I need to take my entire dash out to do this, or can I simply remove the glove box and then take the air box out?

Re: 92-95 Civic dash swap (black cx)
Every white hatch ever made in every trim (EXCEPT THE SI) came with blue interior. The SI hatch was the only model that came with original black interior, one of the reasons its soooo pricey and rare.

2 screws where the door meets the dash on either side
1 screw under the top, center vent
1 screw under the center console part of the dash (pocket, lighter area)
Yes, all plugs are plug and play if you keep your remaining gauge cluster.
