YES you need that mount. that mount saved me. good thing i bought it. otherwise, the engine will not bolt up properly and you will kick yourself in the middle of the install. and ye, the reverse lights. mine dont light up when i go into reverse. anyone know if i missed any wiring?

Re: 92-95 civic auto to manual conversion HELP! (Jdm-official)
Ive done many auto to manual swaps in both 92-95 and 96-00 civics.
You will need the auto to manual mount which you can purchase from Jdmshit.com or hasport. Reason being is the auto tranny top mount is different from manual top tranny mount. You can reweld your chassis bracket forward if you are capable. Otherwise buying the mount will make it plug n play.
As for reverse all you need to do is run 2 wires to the main shifter selector harness and find out the plug that has the reverse wiring. Sorry i dont have pics for you. but if you need more info hit me up

my advice to anyone considering an auto-manual conversion is just to get a manual car. all the effort wasnt worth it when i shouldve just gotten a manual car.

i have to disagree,it doesn't take that much work especially if you're doing a swap anyway

you will need to cut the bracket off the frame rail and weld a manual bracket on and use a manual transmisson tranny mount if you dont want to buy that special mount. the bracket is about $40, so if you can weld you will save some money, takes a little time though.
