Default 92-95 & 96-98 Civic H/B Tail lights

I was wondering if the orange filament from the lenses is removeable... and if so, how would I go about removing it?

Thanks

Dion

i think the eg's that you've seen out there were a different year than yours but im not entirely sure. all i know is my 98 hatch came with the tail lights that had no amber so i was quite pleased. but it doesn't cost much to get the non-amber tail lights for your eg's. i saw some at d-a-p.com for $35 each. i didn't kno what "lid mtd." or "qtr. mtd." meant but it was consistent for all the hatches from 92-95. "lid mtd." were the ones without the amber and "qtr mtd." were the ones with the amber.

I asked this same exact question, nobody seems to know the answer. but I heard there is this guy who can do it, remove the amber part with some sort of liquid. I mean "I heard" but someone told me also that it aint color, the plastic as a whole is amber. if so, then it cannot be decoloured. Si looking tail lights are about 50 dlls at the most, I would get them, but over here in Mexico they are 120 dlls.. I dont think I am willing to pay that much for an Si look on my 94 coupe (there is not even Si's of that trim).
