Get the remainder of the 95 A/C system so that you can convert to R134a.

teh remainders are condensor, two short hoses, one long "u" shape hose, adn maybe some other parts, so it's gonna be costly.
i just wanna get a right a/c compressor for my car.
anyone has a stock 93 hatch si with an a/c compressor, a pic or part # would help.

Ron has the best idea here. It would be best to make a complete conversion over to R134a parts(IE: Get rid of all your R12 components).

I have a 93 civic which of course came from the factory setup with R12. Just last week I did a complete conversion over to R134a using all the A/C Parts from a 95 Civic. I got all the parts minus the Condenser and High Side hose that runs from the Condenser to the Compressor for $50 from a guy off Craigslist. I then got a 94-95 Condenser and the high side hose from a junkyard for another $70.

R12 parts are not compatible with 134a parts and vice versa which is why your R12 hoses do not match up to the R134a compressor and leak.

So from a 94-95 civic you will need all the Lines, Evaporator, Compressor, Condenser. I recommend buying a brand new Expansion Valve and Drier.

From what I have seen you will get much better performance out of a COMPLETE R134a system than converting your R12 system to run 134a. Look on Craigslist and see what you can find. I probably got lucky as I placed an add for what I was looking for and roughly 4 days later I got an email, met the guy and got the parts.

So once again in case I didn't make it clear the first time, You either have to have a complete R12 system or a Complete R134a system. R134a and R12 parts are not compatible with each other. If you know someone that has a license and have money you could also buy some R12. You can find people that have the 12oz cans leftover that are selling it on Ebay. You would then need to get rid of that 94-95 Compressor and buy a 92-93 compressor if you went back with R12.

New O-Rings wouldn't hurt. I replaced all of mine but I was also installing everything part by part so it seemed foolish not to put new ones on when they were right there and easy to do. I would replace the Drier if the system has been open and exposed to moisture for much time. The expansion valve is up to you. I replaced it because it was cheap and then I new it was new. Plus I had to put the Evaporator in and it was right there and easy to get to.
