92-52 Civic S14 Front End Conversion
What do yaw think of this idea. I plan to do other things as well. like flipping the hood forward and i am talking to a guy about making my doors open a bit unconventionally. I was also thinking about a tailight conversion.
let me know what you think.......

I think the conversion would be AWESOME!
Don't listen to these haters on this thread - what do they know?
I say do it. You need to have a car that looks different, and everybody else does the same thing. They get a hatch, dop a swap, and get the same mods as everybody else. The S14 front end is awesome, so do it!
WTF?
I think I was just posessed by a show-*** ghost or something!
The S14front looks good...on the real S14 Silvia.
Front end swaps on Civics are stupid enough IMO, but that's even worse trying to mix breeds
And as for the flip forward hood (can you say 1983 Prelude?) and the "different" doors, WTF? Whatever bro - it's your car, but while you're flossing all those body mods others will be flying by with their swaps and FUNCTIONAL mods.

i agree with b18c5-eh2....do it if u want. ur gonna be spending some real $$ on that. if u really wanna do it, props for having a show (if done clean) honda.
i have a friend who has a 00 GS-R with an S15 conversion on the front and everytime i see that thing people around me drop our jaws cuz the thing just looks awesome.
soo, if u wanna do it, do it, **** everyone else who flames you for their bs, their type is to just stick with OEM honda, go JDM and drop a swap and have bolt ons in their car.
hope this helps ya bro laters

Re: 92-52 Civic S14 Front End Conversion (poison)
poison, re-read my post and you might not agree with me.
I think the conversion is totally pointless unless you really want a show car. I have never understood the point of show cars though, and I probably never will.
Here's my point about SHOWS:
How do you win? You win based on some third parties OPINIONS, and that's it. Often times in the show scene it's all poitics - shows ******* SUCK IMO. It's who you know, and whether your car appeals to a set of judges or not.
That is ******* retarded is you ask me.
So how is it better to build a functional car?
Speed NEVER goes out of style. Lap times and timeslips are indesputable, unlike judging at shows.
Plus, you can spend all that money on a front end conversion, tail light concersion, wide body, etc. but what happens when the TREND changes and those things no longer look cool nor win trophies?
SPEED NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE

I say go for it with the crazy body mods. If everyone went for function over form, we'd all have to work that much harder to be faster than the other guys.
People who are into cosmetics and only I/H/E are essential, in my book.

Yeah, I'd have to go with putting all those beans towards my motor/suspension.
BUT

b18c5-eh2, i agree with how the shows are, it sucks and i would only do something show on a car if i could obviously "show it off" driving around. like my friend with the s15 front on his gsr, looks damn good, sure he spent $3000, but it looks damn good. now in my opinion, i would definently use the $3000 to spend in real go-fast goodies (to start, a motor swap, if not then turbo or internals), and go faster with the throttle and have a camaro, mustang or chevelle owner or something have his jaw dropped and their eyes wide open rather than spending the $3000 on just a front end conversion just to see ricers or somebody else drop their jaw

Not to be an ***, but how is doing body mods that have been done already "thinking outside the box" exactly?
Sorry guys, but if you have a Honda, you just cannot be original anymore. Think it up? I'm sure it's been done before.
That's just how it is when everyone and his or her Mom has a Honda.

Re: 92-52 Civic S14 Front End Conversion (B18C5-EH2)
I know it's been done before - my mistake, let me rephrase my statement.
What I meant by "outside the box" is think outside of Honda for your Honda. Sure, a lot of people hate it (I know I hate that green civic hb with the 'stang conversions) but it's inriguing to see none the less. Who remembers the Super Street issue with the Integra that had this front end conversion done? S W E E T. I don't give a **** if it was a Nissan front end, it was bad as hell. Show is show. Most people that go these lengths for the appearance of their car don't even drive them on the streets so what do us performance heads have to worry about? It's a hobby for them...it's their passion. Let it be. 90% of all people can tell the difference between a riced out car and a real show car.

Just a little note. The name of this forum is "Honda-TECH" not Honda-Rice or Honda-Showoff.
Glad you want to mod your car, but like it was said before. There's not much more to do to a Honda that hasn't been done.
Take it from someone who knows. Either save your money, or build it clean. Don't be another rice boy.
