Re: 92-00 EG//EJ//EK Hood question [searched] (95ProjectEJ1)
After reading my post i realized that asking how to "cowl" a head isn't too specific. I know it involves spacers and new bolts for the hood mounts, but i have no ideawhat size or where to get them. Thanks again.

You can get the appropraite stuff at home depot. Look at what you have, get a longer bolt and more washers. I think that's all you need. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Cheers.

take your stock bolt off the hood, go to home depot/lowes and match it to the ones they got there. Obviously you'll need them to be longer, and will need either metal washers for the spacing, or you can get the nylon or rubber spacers.
The length of them will depend on how high you want your hood to be propped and how many washers you use.
its not rocket science...just go out and do it

Its mostly for asthetics. Some say that it aids in the release of heat from the engine compartment, but I don't know how true that actually is.

get 4 bolts 1"-1 1/2" then get a lot of spacers and nuts....make sure the nuts slide over the bolt, not twist on...and for the spacers get like 30...and youll be set...o and when your putting them on do the bottom bolt first so that way u can get 2 the top one...i like the look of them...mines "cowled"
