Default 9003 Sylvania Silverstars

i would just like to post my experience with my bulbs i have just purchased....first off, they are standard civic 9003 bulbs......WOW.....huge improvement over stock....also, they do NOT look "ricey" or colored at all.....if you are looking at the beam from far away, it looks like a normal yellowish/whiteish color....however, once you are IN the car and are looking downward on the road, the light is REALLY REALLY white, almost like flourescent light.....i paid $40 total and give them

I agree. I am really happy with them. As a testiment to their non ricey appearance, my dad even put them in his CRV.

Since i saw these at the pepboys along with fine APC products, i have to admit i got the cheaper APC Ultra Whites. Sad to say i think i bought my one and only ever! APC product. It was a night and day difference from my stock eg headlight bulbs. Even though they are APCrap, i think i'd buy them again, only if they actually last for awhile.

i've had the apc bulbs too, they don't last very long, last just as long as another pair of bulbs i got from a speed shop for about 10 bucks a pair. i'm running stock now, and they seem to last the longest. but this is probably because i have the catz zeta ballast kit, it makes the bulb life shorter.

the actual tint on the silverstar is kinda silvery/bluey...but the light output is awesome.....looks stock in people's rearviews, but on the road----nuthin but bright *** white light------i have had all these bulbs (ranked 1-10 by light output and longevity):
apc simulation HID-3
3Aracing crystal hyperwhites-2
Matrix Purple Lightning HID-6
PIAA super plasma white-7
Sylvania Silverstars (judged just by output, not longevity)- 9
