9 CYP - cylinder sensor Location Help
Hello
My engine light came on today and I ran the ECU check code and it came out with this error: 9 CYP - cylinder sensor Can anyone please let me know where is this sensor located or how to change it. I ran a search here but I couldnt find anyhing I also google it but not much info. thanks in advance.

It's inside the distributor. If it's really bad, you have to replace the entire distributor sub-assembly and then transfer over your current cap, rotor, coil, ICM, dustshield, etc. Go to slhondaparts.com to get an idea of how much that part is.
You can also pick up a Helms manual and troubleshoot the code according to it. This would mean you need the manual and a multimeter.

I checked with the dealer and they told me that the only sensor they have is the Crankshaft sensor, that they couldnt find any CYP sensor or anything like that that goes inside the distributor. do you think is the Crankshaft sensor?

i had the same problem.if u havent touched ur harness and it magically gave u the check code then its ur dist. becareful when u replace the dizzy the code may pop again cause a shitty dist. it took me a year and 3 dist. from the same company

As I said, IF the sensor is bad, you have to replace the WHOLE distributor sub-assembly. This sub-assembly contains that sensor which is why the dealer couldn't find it - it doesn't exist as a seperate item. The crankshaft flucuation sensor IS available as a seperate item and is located down by the oil pump but has a different code altogether.
