valves, springs, retainers and cams....you should do high comp pistons and eagle rods so you dont spin a bearing....the choice or manufacturer is up to you

or just dont rev that high it would take a lot of work to make power at 9500 rpms on a b16 stock the powerband drops off at 78-7900

i ran a reprogrammed obd-0 mugen program on my 2nd gen b16 in my ef for 3 years with a full portflow spring and retainer setup and skunk 2 stg 1 cams and no headwork. redline was set at 10k and i never hit it but that motor ran awesome. i built the motor to rev with jun flywheel, single belt unorthodox pulley, skunk 2 intake and jdm 4-1 header. on the stock pr-3 ecu i got close to 400 miles to a tank of gas a few times. round town she was a lil ruff gettin n2 her powerband but man did that car sing from 5k and up. ed bergenholtz used unmolested heads on his crx back in the day just upgraded the valvetrain. the ruff casting helps the fuel and air mixture to atomize better for a cleaner more efficient burn.

9k rpm on a stock engine is not going to last too long.

Here's why it's pointless to rev past the factory limit

The engine stops making power around 7800 RPM. Anything past that is pointless

My b16 has a built top end. It's got Ferria titanium oversized valves, springs, and retainers...ONCE, I reved it alittle over 10K when I got it...But now...I don't rev over 9k...My bottom end is stock. idk. Haven't had any problems...but I'm about to order new rods, and pistons ne how *shrugs*...i dont wanna wait till I spin a bearing...but seems to be ok for now...
