80k miles high for an EM1?
I am thinking about buying an EM1, but it has 80k miles. Is that way too high? I am probably going to look at it on Saturday and I talked to the guy selling it today and he seemed cool about it. Basically stock, has Type-R Intake Manifold, Clutch & Flywheel (I think he said Exedy) and Apexi Cat back. Also has stock wheels on, they are just painted. He is asking 11 for it, but I'm going to try and get him down to 9.5. The 80k just has me a little nervous...
Also, for you EM1 peeps, how much mileage do you guys got?

Oh man thats nothing. Who was that guy in here the other day? He had a B16 with 303,000 miles on it. Don't worry about the mileage. If your frantic, have a mechanic look at it. Check the oil to see if its clean. Look at the spark plugs, and take off the oil cap and look at one of the rockers. If its dark brownish, it may have been abused, but if its a bronze or silver color, then its great. Drive the car. If its been driven HARD, you will know immediatly. But yea, 80k miles is fine. I got 104k miles on my 96 civic D16 and been workin on her, she drives like new, at 34mpg.

53,XXX on my Em1
I've seen many around the area with over 100k on them for 11 grand and over. Guess it just depends where you live and how many people are in the market for them.
Since he's already done a little work on the car, i'd make sure and look it over. And if I were you i'd do a compression test if possible.

80K? Man.. I beat my first Honda and it lasted for 256K before it was hit by someone. All my Hondas have seen over 100K (except one but it's close) and still ran great.

i have 48k on my em1
11,000$ is too much i bought my 2000 mint unmolested totaly stock even had the "H" in the grill with 40k miles for 11k last year. id say 9,500 is a good price fot that one.
when it comes to em1's the more they are modded the less they are worth.
look around and see if you find a stock one

Yeah, I think 11k is too much for it also. I am looking at 9.7 max, but I am going to try and get it down to 9-9.5. This is the closest to stock EM1 I've seen for sale around here.
