75mm Vitaras vs. 75.5 SRP's, want some opinions
doing the typical dseries boost build
95 Del Sol S
auto/manual swap, header-back exhaust, etc. for now
going with a fully built and boosted d16z6 and want some opinions
Gude nitrous/boost cam(reallll beefy), KMS ultimate valvetrain package, blox intake manifold(ported), 70mm BBK throttle body, AEM fuel rail, Walbro 255, Eagle h-beams, hondata s300-my build to this point
my debate is between the SRP 75.5mm pistons and the 75mm Vitaras
bought the srp's for a steal, $200 bnib
got the vitara's along with the rods on craigslist
i know, i know, the SRP's are +quality, but my goal is starting to vary a little lately
originally wanted to go with a big big turbo(30r or so, plenty big for any dseries), aiming 400whp
lately i'm considering something smaller, like a t3/t4. still want 325+ hp(preferably closer to 400 still), would just like to be able to spool at a reasonable rpm and want some better low end. not to mention, 25+ psi is alot for a 2200 lb car on street tires(no drag radials for me, i like handling and i'm in love with my potenzas)
with more low end power and quicker spool in mind, and wanting to save some $ ofcourse for suspension and whatnot, i'm seriously considering going with these vitara pistons over the SRP's(sell my SRP's for more $, save money on block honing, etc.)
i've read plenty of threads, polls, etc., just want some second opinions and wondering if you guys think i should go with the vitara's for $'s sake and what kinda power i could realisticly pull with this setup on something like a t3/t4
