did you adjust them like that just so it would quiet the cam down? Because I know for the specs of the cam on the zex website it sais .007 and .009

FOR D SERIES...
Remove Valve Cover after putting motor at TDC (compression stroke tisk tisk!)
start with #1 cyl valves... Do Intake first, then Exhaust...
You will first loosen the retaining nut (10mm) place feeler gauge of desired size under the adjustable flat head stud in the 10mm nut and tighten or loosen until a "slight drag" is achieved. Hold stud bolt in place with the flathead while tightening 10mm nut. Recheck for "slight drag". When satisfied continue with remaining intake valve then exhaust valves for #1 cylinder order....
Continue process in the firing order of the engine. What you will do when complete with #1 is move the crank counterclockwise manually until the cam sprocket completes 90 degree rotation from it's "UP" position.
So, with the sprocket at the 3 o'clock position, you adjust cyl 3
6.........................................cyl 4
9.........................................cyl 2
In that order.
If you miss your mark by turning the crank too far, DO NOT go clockwise to adjust, you must turn it COUNTERclockwise to the TDC (white mark) and around one more time (so 2 revolution to your intended mark) If you go around only once, it is at the exhaust stroke and will be wrong
Hope that helps

I had that cam(z6), did the valves to the specs on the website and it was still noisy as f***.

well your 1/2 right. Because its a regrind the ramp angle is extreamly steep.. thats what caused the noise.
