4dr vs. 2dr front end
i have a 92 civic 4dr and want a 2dr front end on it. i know i need fenders, bumper, corner lights. do i need a new hood or core support to make it look factory any pictures would help alot. i have searched but no one justified what is needed. thanks

They are wayyy different. i think you have it all on the list but im not sure if the core support is needed. it would save alot of time and money if you just drilled holes for the bumper in your stock support

You can make the 2 door bumper fit on the 4 door with some modding.
To do it correctly and make it fit 100% you'll have a lot more work on your hands. You have to cut the fenders in half, and weld the 4 door half near the firewall to the 2 door half near the front of the car and pretty much swap the whole 2 door front end over.

wow... that really makes me think twice about looking for a 4door civic.. i thought the bumpers swapped over.. thought the whole different front end crap was gone with the fourth gens... I guess i won't look at 4drs anymore.. if I were going to do all that work, I would just put the 2dr front on my sol.. looks oh so clean

you can make a 2door bumper fit on a 4 door easily... if ur not one for absulote perfection (sp) if u do no cuttin or modin there will be a lil gap between the fender n bumper not that noticeable tho... its been done many times

i think all you need are the 2/3 door fenders, front bumper, and corner lenses and they should just bolt right on. the hood and headlights are exactly the same.
and yes I admit the 2/3 door front end, in my opinion, is definitely hotter!

for me i didnt have to get 2dr fenders or 2dr corners i just used the 4 door ones but i had to remove my bumper support (the metal bar behind your bumper cover) to make it fit... it fits fine to me. goodluck

I wasn't one for the 4dr bumper but it's starting to grow on me and it's ghetto if you just slap the 2dr bumper on the 4dr and don't do any bodywork to the bumper or fenders cause it just doesn't flow right and looks like ***. Only thing is I don't like the tiny fogs for the 4dr. Maybe if they were like the older EK bumpers with the single opening in the bumper and had the bigger fogs that went from the top to the bottom of the grill opening I'd rock some but that just my ranting and .02.
