Default 45 mph wheel wobble gets louder in the turns?

93 Del sol

I have a strange wobble in one of my wheels, tires, or possibly something in my steering/ hub/ control arm assembly.

The wobble is most audible in the 45 mph range and gets louder when i make a right turn. The sound disappears when i make a left turn. It sounds like "wump wump wump" and the wumps gets faster as i drive faster. My car is lowered on drop springs so i think thats been making the noise louder. The wobble can barely be felt in the steering wheel and is mainly just audible. I had the front left wheel re-balanced and that didn't fix anything. I'm leaning toward thinking it's a bad wheel bearing, a lump on one of my tires or possibly a weak lug bolt.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you !

Are your lug nuts tight?

Yea, i've already went around with a lug wrench and made sure they were all tight

I thought about taking off each wheel individually and lightly hitting each lug bolt with a hammer to make sure none of them are about to snap.

I've had similar things happen on different cars and they turned out to be:
  • Tread separation (hard to see unless you know what to look for).
  • CV joint(s) going bad.
  • Front brake caliper body rusted in position (not floating on the pins).
Those would be the first things I'd check...

wheel bearing, jack the car up and rock the wheel from side to side and up and down and see if there is any play in it.

Thats a bingo for the wheel bearing.

i jacked up the front right tire, spun it up to 45 and it sounded so bad that i thought my whole wheel was about to fall off.... and it probably was.

on a technical note, the wheel that was making noise when i made a right turn was the front right tire which i found strange because that would mean it got noisy when the load was taken off of the wheel. also, there was no budging the wheel when attempting to move it by holding the top and bottom of the wheel, like it does with most other bad wheel bearings.

thanks to everybody who replied ! you guys most definitely helped me out.
