Default 4.5" Intake Filter

Ok, I've been looking for about a week now at every Discount Auto Parts/AutoZone/Pep Boys crap box.

I've called http://www.topspeedauto.com, http://www.dragracing.com, and every retailer that sells j's racing intakes in america.

I bought a fake j's intake tube. Just the tube.

Does anyone know where I can find a 4.5" Cone filter with the fitting for a 4.5" pipe??

K&N makes one. K&N makes everything, I just picked one up with a 6" inlet today.

Yea guys, I'm not looking to spend $120 for an intake filter. The same quality as a APC will suffice and at the same price range.

i have an hks filter on my civic and its friggin nice. ive had alot of other filters on different cars, i got the hks for free and from no on i will never use anything else. and yes, on the inside it is a type of foam, but the outer layer is a hard material. its nice, definatly worth the money, and i know youcan find on in 4.5". ive seen a 5" hks filter on a buick grand national. just my opinion

i used a cheap filter on my setup that i have now, and just switching to a hks filter was a noticeable difference. you get what you pay for is right. even though mine was free, id spend the money to get a nice namebrand filter now, like hks, apexi, trust, ETC.dont waste your money on cheap filters. IMO

I hear ya, in some cases a pipe and a filter.......is just a pipe and a filter. I know some of you are gonna go nuts, but just because an aluminum pipe says "AEM" doesn't make it worth 200 bucks.

Can you post the information, or maybe send me an IM with the part number? I'm also looking for a replacement filter for a J's style intake.
