I would look to pay at least 250+ for a good header and 500+ for a really good one. You typically get what you pay for so if you go cheap you get cracks and cheap all around. If I recall 4-1 is the better of the 2 but it takes up more room under the car so if you are lowered you will scrape even more than normal.

depends if you want midrange or high RPM power to decide between 4-2-1 and 4-1, go for the more expensive brand your gonna end up paying for two cheapass ones when they crack, just do it right the first time

get a 4-1. b16's make most of their power top end and they are very peaky motors. and 4-2-1 are more for midrange-low end power. i gree with the guys about doing it right the first time, but if you want cheap but ok quality, go for the megan racing 4-1 as i have it on my car for about 2 years now with no problems.

4-1 w/2.5" collector felt pretty mean on my brothers old hatch so thats what i would recommend to you, but as stated, it depends on what you want to get from it.

Thats my car your talking about , i had the 4-1 w/2.5 collector on it/ that along with my jdm lsd w/4.78 final drive pulled pretty damn good. Now i'm gonna run the same header on my new set up, then i'll get my sis's(GottaLoveHondas) opinion again, soon as i test it out

get one for any b16.. I'm using one for a 99-00 civic si in my eg and it lined right up with my cat, but its an aftermarket cat so its 2.5 inches. if anything bring it to a muffler shop so they can just put a flex pipe there and weld it with the rest of your exhaust. 4-1 2.5 makes the b16 feel realli good in the high rpm.

it has nothing to do with dyno sheets, it's more to do with were you need the power.. down low or up top...

also, to do with clearance on lowered cars

its as much the design of the header, tube diameter, primary& secondary length, collector etc as it does on it being 4-1 or 4-2-1.
there was a thread a while back where smsp posted graphs of 2 headers he built, one 4-1 and one 4-2-1. because of how they were designed and built the 4-1 had more midrange than the 4-2-1 and was weaker on the top end.

that being said, IN GENERAL, with off the shelf headers, 4-1 will make more top end and 4-2-1 will make more midrange.

bhaahahhahahahahahahhahahahahaha

The sound has alot to do with engine, and "head gasket back"

Some people like raspy.. some like a deep tone..

but I'm sure you will like raspy, with the wicked drift style

Drift style? Has "that" franchise claimed another one?

Only angled one I know of is the King of All Cannons, the N1

Just get something like a Apex'i WS2. You'll thank me later.

get a type-r or GSR bottom end and keep the stock exhaust manifold, you'll cee way better gains for the price of an expencive exhaust manifold. combine the two things for even better gains.
